Another interesting weekend - on Saturday we went to the market in Dingle to get a couple more chickens for ourselves, and also six for Paidraig, who is away for a couple of days, so in total we're minding ten chickens and our ten ducks! The chickens don't want to come out of the shed until you actually want to put them away, so then there's a big game chasing them around the garden at dusk. Keeps you fit I suppose. Today we had a nice drive to Cork: a great day for it, calm and sunny, and really nice to have a wander around the city in the sunshine. Caitlin loved the "Angels - Beacon of Hope" display in Bishop Lucey Park ( and chasing the pigeons! )

Another busy couple of weeks! Rachel and Caitlin had a trip to England for a week to visit Granny and Grandad, and I carried on helping Ian with his polytunnel, which is now just about complete. All he has to do now is plant it up, and hopefully have a big party to celebrate! Had a good afternoons windsurfing at Drainpipes with Colin, Brian, Serge, Phillipe and Aidan, decent head high, clean waves, and although the South Easterly wind was a bit gusty, at least the sun was shining....Also had a visit from Peter from Wonderful Ireland Walking Tours who are based in Wicklow: he wanted to check our place out and see about sending some of their guests to us, which would be great.'
