We've just spent a really enjoyable day with our friend Graham, over from Derbyshire. He'd already spent a few days flying round Ireland on a steam train with mutual friend Brendan. It was specially laid on, and ran along the main railway lines between Belfast, Dublin, Waterford, Westport, and around the lakes near Westport. The weather was great for his visit, almost felt like mid summer, so we took a trip over to Killarney, and went through the woods just past Ross Castle to admire the wild garlic in flower. The day was rounded off with a cold Guinness in the Railway Bar in Camp, and then an excellent dinner in Paddys Cottage, just down the road. The place was busy for a weekday, and it was good to see a few locals in there as well.
