We've had such a mixture of weather lately - December was the driest for ten years apparently, but in the last few days we have been hit by gales. On Saturday we went to Cork for a haircut for Rachel - the picture was taken before the visit to Toni and Guy ! Caitlin and I went around the city, stopping off at the English Market: Caitlin was amazed at all the different produce on sale. The weather was wild, and we couldn't believe the number of mangled umbrellas in every litter bin! When we got home the roof had blown off the hen house, and a few confused chickens poked their heads out when I turned up. Even the wind monitoring equipment in Belmullet in the North West of the country was destroyed, and they're used to fierce weather....Yesterday was quite chilly but mainly sunny, but today we have snow - C is very excited.....
